Hans and Patricia

Hans and I have taken yoga from Sue for two years. Also I have been Sue’s pilates class. I have had many fine instructors over a period of 35 years. Hans has only been the USA for three years and this is his third year in yoga. Both of us feel that Sue is “Tops” in Instruction. At the same time she is always kind, considerate. thoughtful and helpful as she works with each individual in her classes.

I signed up for Sue’s Prenatal Yoga Class when I was around 18 weeks along, and ended up doing two, six week sessions with her! Before I was pregnant, I had done a few other yoga classes over a couple of years, and always had struggled trying to find the right breathing pattern. In general, I always struggled with yoga. Once I began Sue’s Prenatal Yoga Class, I actually learned the correct way to find my breath doing different poses, and just slowed down and went at my own pace.

Sue taught us different breathing techniques, and a couple different positions/stretches to do throughout pregnancy that I was able to do in the delivery room between contractions. Giving birth was definitely the hardest thing I have ever done, but I am glad I was taught how to do different comfortable poses to help, and get me through delivery.

Flexibility, gentle stretching, soothing music, tranquility of body & mind, breath development, guided meditations, core muscle strength for my back (I’ve even given up my chiropractor): these are the rewards of taking Sensai Sue Conrad’s “Gentle Yoga” classes for the past three years. I cannot recommend her enough to all seeking quality of life with a gentle approach. Steven SLO, Ca.

I had always wanted to try a Kickboxing class and was excited that Sue offered one. I am not an early morning person (6:30 am) but Sue’s class really motivated me. She is encouraging and makes you feel like you can do it no matter what your physical level is. I plan on taking her class again and even bought myself a a cardio kickboxing bag. Sue may seem to be a quiet person but she just lights up when she is teaching her class.

Rachel

Sue’s prenatal yoga class provided a weekly opportunity to be with other mama-to-be’s in a nurturing space. It was wonderful to have an exercise I knew was safe for a pregnant body and I met wonderful folks. Thanks, Rachel and baby Willa

I started working out with Sue in January. I thought I was in better shape. How wrong I was. Sue keeps the classes fun and engaging. There is always a challenge. Who knew I could run nearly a quarter of a mile. I know it doesn’t sound like much but to me I can now put a new goal on the table and have the courage to sign up for a 5k.

Susan

Sue Conrad is a great instructor! Two months ago, I was in the worst shape of my life and after Sue’s pilates and strength training several time a week, along with cardio, I have lost 29 pounds! Sue had plenty of modified moves for me, when I wasn’t able to keep up with the class. Her patience and encouragement kept me coming back. I highly recommend any class she teaches!

Peter’s Success Story

I signed up for Sue Conrad’s Boot Camp a year ago to jumpstart my workout routine and liked it so much that I haven’t missed a session of Boot Camp or Kickboxing since. Sue brings the same mix of fun, challenge and personal attention to every routine she offers, and does it with professionalism and flair.

Sue is a great trainer. She is gentle yet firm at the same time. She tailors her workouts to her client’s day-to-day needs so you never have an excuse to not work out;-) I have been working out with her for the last four years and I now can do exercises that I once thought were impossible for me to do.

Ginger’s Success Story

Dear Sue, Thank you so much for such a fantastic class. It is not just the exercise that I love, but also the time spent with fun people who are all fighting the same fight. I can’t tell you how much I enjoy it and look forward to it. When I started taking your class six months ago, I was more than a little apprehensive, thinking you would be barking orders. You are certainly strong and don’t take any prisoners (!) but you are more than encouraging and the class is so much fun. Who knew I would be working my abs so hard both by ‘bicycles’ and laughing so hard when we play tag or try to punch the ball out of each other’s hands?! I have lost about 20 pounds in your class which has been fantastic. I feel like myself again and am only 15 pounds away from my target weight. I have another 6 months until I turn 40 and actually think for the first time since I had kids, that maybe I really can do this! With your help! Other aspects of my life have also improved dramatically since I started taking your class. I feel so much more optimistic and no matter how tired I am from my children waking up all night long, I always face the day with a happy heart. I honestly can’t thank you enough. You rock, Sgt Sue!!!!
