Brittany’s Success Story

Sue has helped me towards my weight loss goal of 60lbs. I started taking sue’s classes about 6 months ago, and all i can say is i am so thankful i did. I started out with her bootcamp class which was a very fun, upbeat and challenging class in a good way. I have now taken three classes with her and plan on taking many many more, she is extremely motivating and shows you so many new exercises that i have never tried. Along with a current diet plan i am on, Sue has helped me towards my weight loss goal of 60lbs and as of now i have lost 50lbs! I always leave each class feeling so good about myself, and feel like i got a great workout. I love taking Sue’s classes and recommend her to all of my friends, I cant wait to try new classes with her!

When I found Sue Conrad’s Prenatal Yoga class I knew it would be a great class to help improve my strength. The first day of the class we were greeted by Sue’s smiling face and a warm hello. As a first time mother, it was nice to be around other women who were going through similar things I was experiencing. It was so wonderful to be able to spend an hour really connecting with my body and the baby growing inside me. Sue moved through each pose slowly allowing us to feel relaxed before we moved to the next pose.

I would recommend this class to any pregnant mother who wishes to gain strength and become more connected with their child.

Sue is a great instructor! She gears her workouts for all fitness levels. In some cases this would not be good for those who need a more intense workout but, she makes sure to show how to intensify each routine. Sue knows how to “encourage” you without being one of those in your face instructors. I have been taking many of her classes for months and plan on continuing to do so. Thanks Sue!

Nancy’s Success Story

Dear Sue, Thank you so much for your excellent instruction in your Gentle Yoga Class. I just wanted you to know how much it has helped me. I had a knee, groin and lower back injury that just was not getting any better after over a year of other alternative modalities. It took the joy and action out of my life. I just wanted to cry with the constant pain. I could not sleep because of the pain and discomfort. All I wanted to do when I got home from work was lay on my bed. It dragged on so long I thought: “Is this it? Is this how it’s going to be for the rest of my life?” This was unusual for me as I am an active person. I like to jog, hike, bike, explore and have adventure in my life. I feel I am a very young 60 year old person. But at that time with all the pain I felt like a very old and broken 90 year old. When I first started your class I could not even do the simplest balancing positions. Now I am pain free and look forward to your class and the great way I feel doing the positions. I do not want to miss a single class, for the joy of feeling fantastic is something I will never take for granted again. I want to thank you for giving that back to me. I want to thank you for showing me all the possible modified positions till I gained my strength and confidence back. What was such an effort is now like a beautiful flowing dance. Now I can add Yoga to the list of active things I love to do. I can never thank you enough. Sue was an absolute dynamo to train with. She always challenged me and helped me push beyond what I though was my limit. She taught me the importance of core strength , which as a long time runner, I had always neglected. I trained with Sue to get in shape for my wedding and it worked. I gained a lot of muscle in my arms, toned everywhere overall, and shaved 35 minutes off my marathon time – I’m certain due to the core strength she convinced me mattered enough to build. She was always fun, had a wonderful sense of humor, constantly changed workout routines to keep them interesting and challenging, and she stuck with me even when I was frustrated with myself for not progressing “fast enough.” I would recommend Sue as a personal trainer to anyone who wants to get healthy or healthier.

I have had the pleasure of having Sue as my fitness instructor for several months now. (Spin, Kick boxing and Boot Camp) She is very encouraging and welcoming to those of us “new” to the workout scene. I signed up for Sue’s Prenatal Yoga Class when I was around 18 weeks along, and ended up doing two, six week sessions with her! Before I was pregnant, I had done a few other yoga classes over a couple of years, and always had struggled trying to find the right breathing pattern. In general, I always struggled with yoga. Once I began Sue’s Prenatal Yoga Class, I actually learned the correct way to find my breath doing different poses, and just slowed down and went at my own pace.

Sue taught us different breathing techniques, and a couple different positions/stretches to do throughout pregnancy that I was able to do in the delivery room between contractions. Giving birth was definitely the hardest thing I have ever done, but I am glad I was taught how to do different comfortable poses to help, and get me through delivery.

Sue is a wonderful personal trainer. She is encouraging and motivating but still understanding of each individuals energy and fitness level. I would and have recommended her to family and friends. I’d love to take her classes but live too far away to do so. Maybe the next North County boot camp!
