My family and extended family just completed a wonderful 2 consecutive day Yoga morning at Avila Beach, CA. There were 10 of us one morning and 4 the next. Sue’s gracious and calm led Yoga session was adaptable to all ages (kids ages 5 – 12, and adults up to age 60+!) If you haven’t already experienced Sue as an instructor, don’t procrastinate, check out any of her classes as I’m sure they are all excellent! (I am a user of Yoga and Spin classes and they both are excellent!)

Rani’s Success Story

In January of this year, I had to have arthroscopic surgery on my left knee. Needless to say, I hated being so stationary and helpless. I was doing physical therapy, but it was a slo-go process. It wasn’t until I signed up for Sue’s Cycle class, that I finally started to get muscle tone back into my leg and energy back into my life! I loved it so much that the next quarter, I signed up to cycle twice a week!! It’s energizing, invigorating and totally fun! Sue has a kind yet contagious tone that make you want to work hard! She is not pushy and only expects one to do what they can. I appreciate her tenacity and conversation and wide range of music choice! If you are staying on the Central California Coast for awhile and want to get a wonderful workout form a fantastic instructor, check out all the amazing classes Sue teaches! SHE is amazing!!! Fitness really can be fun!!!

Ginger’s Success Story

Dear Sue, Thank you so much for such a fantastic class. It is not just the exercise that I love, but also the time spent with fun people who are all fighting the same fight. I can’t tell you how much I enjoy it and look forward to it. When I started taking your class six months ago, I was more than a little apprehensive, thinking you would be barking orders. You are certainly strong and don’t take any prisoners (!) but you are more than encouraging and the class is so much fun. Who knew I would be working my abs so hard both by ‘bicycles’ and laughing so hard when we play tag or try to punch the ball out of each other’s hands?! I have lost about 20 pounds in your class which has been fantastic. I feel like myself again and am only 15 pounds away from my target weight. I have another 6 months until I turn 40 and actually think for the first time since I had kids, that maybe I really can do this! With your help! Other aspects of my life have also improved dramatically since I started taking your class. I feel so much more optimistic and no matter how tired I am from my children waking up all night long, I always face the day with a happy heart. I honestly can’t thank you enough. You rock, Sgt Sue!!!!

Rachel

Sue’s prenatal yoga class provided a weekly opportunity to be with other mama-to-be’s in a nurturing space. It was wonderful to have an exercise I knew was safe for a pregnant body and I met wonderful folks. Thanks, Rachel and baby Willa

Sue is a wonderful personal trainer. She is encouraging and motivating but still understanding of each individuals energy and fitness level. I would and have recommended her to family and friends. I’d love to take her classes but live too far away to do so. Maybe the next North County boot camp!

Nancy’s Success Story

Dear Sue, Thank you so much for your excellent instruction in your Gentle Yoga Class. I just wanted you to know how much it has helped me. I had a knee, groin and lower back injury that just was not getting any better after over a year of other alternative modalities. It took the joy and action out of my life. I just wanted to cry with the constant pain. I could not sleep because of the pain and discomfort. All I wanted to do when I got home from work was lay on my bed. It dragged on so long I thought: “Is this it? Is this how it’s going to be for the rest of my life?” This was unusual for me as I am an active person. I like to jog, hike, bike, explore and have adventure in my life. I feel I am a very young 60 year old person. But at that time with all the pain I felt like a very old and broken 90 year old. When I first started your class I could not even do the simplest balancing positions. Now I am pain free and look forward to your class and the great way I feel doing the positions. I do not want to miss a single class, for the joy of feeling fantastic is something I will never take for granted again. I want to thank you for giving that back to me. I want to thank you for showing me all the possible modified positions till I gained my strength and confidence back. What was such an effort is now like a beautiful flowing dance. Now I can add Yoga to the list of active things I love to do. I can never thank you enough. You are a great teacher and I feel so very lucky to have joined your class. Yours truly in health and joy, Nancy

My journey with Sue began in October last year. I have participated in the M/W/F Tabata Bootcamp class that she offers at my local gym. It is now the end of February and I am now down 20lbs, and am much stronger. I truly admire Sue’s committment to all her clients, and her contagious enthusiasm. We are all different sizes, shapes, and abilities, yet Sue has us all working to each of our fullest potentials. Class never gets old because she keeps the circuits fresh each time. With her encouragement I have now added her Powerhouse Spin once a week and love it!

I have had the pleasure of having Sue as my fitness instructor for several months now. (Spin, Kick boxing and Boot Camp) She is very encouraging and welcoming to those of us “new” to the workout scene. I love her classes for so many reasons…her positive, upbeat attitude, great music selection, constantly changing routines and her gentle nudges to get us back on track. I look forward to working out with Sue again this year!!

Peter’s Success Story

I signed up for Sue Conrad’s Boot Camp a year ago to jumpstart my workout routine and liked it so much that I haven’t missed a session of Boot Camp or Kickboxing since. Sue brings the same mix of fun, challenge and personal attention to every routine she offers, and does it with professionalism and flair.

I started working out with Sue in January. I thought I was in better shape. How wrong I was. Sue keeps the classes fun and engaging. There is always a challenge. Who knew I could run nearly a quarter of a mile. I know it doesn’t sound like much but to me I can now put a new goal on the table and have the courage to sign up for a 5k.
